Project update: School bathroom renovation moving forward!
Our Children’s Project team just returned from Khao Sok and Wat Tham Wararam School with great news! The renovation of the school’s bathrooms, a project facilitated by Elephant Hills and funded by Thomas Cook’s Children’s Charity is moving forward ahead of schedule.
The eager students and teachers joined hands with Elephant Hills team with completing first half of the project
We packed some paints and brushes and with our dedicated Elephant Hills staff headed to Wat Tham Wararam School located in Khao Sok, just behind a curve from our elephant camp. The students and teachers welcomed us with wide smiles and wanted to help us with the finishing touches for the first bathroom building. We joined the construction team and helped with painting the walls and completing the first half of the project.
Within this project we are renovating the essential school facilities that had got into very poor condition over the years. So far, the green season weather in Khao Sok has provided some sun and clear skies, which has contributed to the fast progress. We are confident that we can soon report back to you with pictures of a completed renovation project, so stay tuned!
We are currently looking for partners to co-operate with our Children’s Project and help us to improve the lives of the rural Thai children through projects similar to this one. If you or your company would be interested in contributing, please contact us at [email protected].
