One of the best experiences you will have Elephant hills was an amazing and unforgettable experience. The Tents were really clean and well presented and the location was absolutely stunning. Our tour guide for the 3 days, T, was absolutely amazing, friendly and made our experience so much better! Would totally recommend this to anyone who is up for a proper authentic rainforest experience. Really good value and lovely food. Will definitely be coming back in the future 😃

We booked the 3-day stay with one night in the jungle and one night on the lake. From the airport pickup to the drop-off at our next hotel, everything went perfectly. The welcome at the camp was very well organized, our guide was simply fantastic and clearly passionate about his work. The tent in the jungle had a proper bathroom and comfortable beds. The scenery there is wonderful. I especially enjoyed feeding the elephants. It was so beautiful. For all the activities, we were divided into groups of about 15 people. Only a few of us participated in the jungle hike by the lake; there were perhaps five of us. That was fantastic, of course. There is absolutely nothing I didn't like, and I can highly recommend this camp. Friends of ours will also be booking a stay there soon.

Absolutely incredible adventure Incredible experience. Absolutely go. No hesitation. I don't want to spoil the wonder of this place with too much detail but we were a family party of 10, ages ranging from 9 to 74, and all had the most fantastic, eye opening adventure. My 74 year old dad didn't do the jungle trek due to the uneven terrain and a hip replacement but was able to do everything else and loved it. Our kids, who were worried about bugs, gained some positive and exciting experiences. Honestly. Just book it and go. You will not regret it.

Memories forever Overall, we had a fantastic experience at Elephant Hills and would highly recommend it. From the moment we arrived, our guide, Chief, made us feel welcome. She was brilliant throughout the trip, incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and always happy to answer questions. The river canoe safari was a great start to the adventure. The guides were excellent at spotting wildlife we would never have seen ourselves, including snakes, monkeys, and even an otter, which was a real highlight. The elephant experience itself was slightly underwhelming compared to our expectations. When we originally booked, hand-feeding was still part of the programme, so viewing the elephants from behind barriers wasn't quite what we had imagined. We completely understand and support the welfare-focused changes, but as the elephants are still guided to feeding areas and pools for each group visit, it felt a little less interactive than we had hoped. That said, it certainly wasn't a deal breaker and it was still wonderful to see these magnificent animals in such a welfare-conscious environment. The food at the resort was fabulous, with fresh, delicious options and plenty of variety at both breakfast and dinner. The local school dance performance was also brilliant and showcased some truly inspiring young people. Our absolute highlight was Days 2 and 3 at the Lake Camp. We completely fell in love with it. Swimming in the lake, feeding the fish, and paddling out on the canoes by ourselves was a magical experience that our family will never forget. Both of our children tried paddleboarding and loved every minute. The scenery is simply breathtaking. The jungle trek on Day 3 was another stand-out experience. It is definitely not for the faint-hearted and genuinely feels off the beaten track, crossing streams, climbing over rocky terrain, and trekking through the rainforest. The reward at the end was a fantastic lunch cooked by our wonderful guide, and a very talented chef! The kids couldn't get enough of the pork, and it was a memorable meal in a truly unique setting. The luxury tents were also amazing. Comfortable beds, fresh linens, beautiful bathrooms, and all surrounded by the sounds of birdsong and rainfall. Falling asleep immersed in nature while enjoying such comfort was something really special. Elephant Hills delivered an unforgettable family adventure. While the elephant experience wasn't quite as interactive as we expected, everything else exceeded our expectations. The Lake Camp, jungle trek, incredible scenery, fantastic food, and outstanding guides made this a trip we'll remember for years to come.

Wonderful I booked this thinking I’d be sleeping near elephants… I was wrong they are a ten min drive away and it is a wonderful rescue conservation area… However I had no idea the elephants were a snippet of what is offered at elephant hills! My teenagers and I were literally blown away by our three days in the jungle. My son actually said to me…”This is the best adventure I’ve ever been on!” He’s 16. Whether it’s kayaking, paddle boarding, speed boats, swimming with giant fish in lakes or simply gazing out of the bus window as you get whisked to your next activity prepare to be in awe!! My only thing is that many of the activities are an hour bus ride from the camp and I’m not sure that’s advertised. We saw a wild elephant on our last day! Lucky our tour guide was absolutely fabulous and so were all the staff. Food wonderful and tents so comfortable. Thank you elephant hills it wasn’t what I was expecting but it was truly amazing! Life changing memories!

Wow! What an amazing place! We loved it! Oh my goodness, Elephant Hills was the highlight of our Thailand trip! We only stayed 2 nights at the main camp, but wish we’d done a night or 2 on the Khao Sok lake camp too… next time!! Everything runs like clockwork which makes it so relaxing as you don’t need to arrange a thing. We were picked up from Phuket airport in air conditioned taxi van, and driven to EH (about a couple of hours). On arrival you’re allocated a guide (Ing was brilliant!) and they talk you through the agenda of the time you’re there for - when the activities are, timings, when to eat, what to bring etc). The accommodation at main camp is fabulous - hard walled tent essentially - with big fans to keep cool, slept sooo well here with the sounds of the jungle all around. Comfy beds, spacious enough, great shower, hammocks outside. Stunning view of the limestone cliffs in the main communal area. Food was brilliant, something for everyone, and never felt too busy, although there were lots of people. The activities would take me too long to write up - we loved every single one of them (afternoon 1: guided canoe tour and elephant sanctuary; day 2: Khao Sok National Park via longtail Boat - swimming, kayaking, paddleboarding, we saw wild elephant! Just magical; morning 3 jungle trek and lunch in jungle). Teen daughter decided not to do jungle trek - no issue - she slept in instead. Take old trainers for the trek - it is the jungle! So a little challenging in parts (which was great fun!) Transfer out from EH again via air conditioned taxi van, took a couple of hours to get to the port to take us across to Koh Samui for the next part of our trip. Highly recommend Elephant Hills, what a special place and so well run - thank you!!

Fantastic 2 night stay with the family. Tents were ace, hearing all the sounds of the jungle at night. The activities were awesome. Seeing plenty of of wildlife in the sanctuary and also out in the wild too. Highly recommend this place, and Tee our guide was amazing too!

Fantastic experience Wow what an experience, don’t hesitate to book this adventure. We did 2 nights - one at the tented camp, seeing the elephants, river cruise in canoes and another at the lake camp, kayaking, paddle boarding, trekking. It was incredible, our boys 7 and 10 absolutely loved it. Our hardy 7 year old did the 1 hour trek up into the cave and the adults were very impressed with him (it’s a hard climb for a kid!) Loved every minute and it was absolutely fantastic for gluten free, husband had food specifically cooked for him. Guides were brilliant, every part well executed and thought through. Tip, buy the fish food on your way to the lake camp, when the guides buy tickets for the long boat ride. Very special place.

You have to be aware that you'll be sleeping in a tent, which at most has a fan. It has a built-in, fully equipped bathroom. You also have to keep in mind that, given the jungle location, there are mosquitoes. The food is perfectly fine. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and the excursions are highly recommended. It's important to understand that this is truly about the welfare of the elephants, and there are absolutely no ridiculous elephant-touching or elephant-riding excursions like you find in the rest of Thailand! Thank goodness! Here, you can only help prepare for and watch the elephant feeding. We were there with two children, ages five and eight, and were able to get two extra beds in our tent, which was perfectly adequate. The excursions take place in an open, spartan tour bus, which fits the overall concept perfectly. The trip to the large dam and the lunch offered at the Floating Residences, as well as swimming in the lake, are highly recommended. Our tour guide, Tamm, was excellent. Groups are approximately 15 people per excursion. The reviews complaining about the concept clearly didn't understand beforehand that it's not geared towards Instagram fans. If you're looking for a largely authentic experience in Thai nature, one that's also suitable for Central Europeans but not overly luxurious, then this is the perfect place for you. The transfer to the ferry for Koh Samui takes about 2.5 hours by car and is completely straightforward. The camp also offers and organizes this transfer if needed.

Elephant Hills The Activities were varied and interesting. Our Guide (Tee) was knowledgeable and available throughout. This is 5* camping. Tents, but proper beds with cotton linen, bed side lights, power point for electricals etc. The food available appeared to cater for every possible variant. I do not have a negative to throw in here. A very enjoyable 4 day safari and lake camp.

Trip of a lifetime Amazing 😍 Amazing 😍 We did the 3 night stay in the jungle camp. It was a very hot and humid 3 days, but we thoroughly enjoyed every bit! Food was amazing. Not a huge selection, but the quality was fantastic. Mainly Thai food. I believe there was a children's area with more Western food(pizza and nuggets) . Staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful. Drinks were great too , fairly priced considering you're in the middle of nowhere and a captive audience. You pay at the end of your stay in cash. Trips were fantastic. Please be aware that although it's called Elephant Hills, you do only get one afternoon with the elephants. This was an amazing experience. The next 2 day trips were lakes with water sports, swimming, mangrove paddles etc. The trips are about an hour away from camp, travelling by either air conditioned mini bus or open sided truck. Food at the lakes was also pretty impressive considering they're cooking on a floating pontoon!! Water, tea and coffee supplied on both lake trips. Long boat ride to the floating camp was amazing, we saw a wild elephant bathing. You get the opportunity to stop at 7-11 and the local market. Snacks of popcorn and Thai prawn crackers available late afternoon when you arrive back to camp. We didn't do the jungle trek as we were shattered, and wanted to enjoy the pool, but the people who did do it said it was a great experience. I would love to go back in a few years to do this again! No air con in tents, but good fans are provided. Amazing, peaceful location. Monkeys can be heard in the trees. I could go on for ever about our amazing holiday at Elephant hills❤️

Elephant Hills An amazing experience from start to finish. Trip of a lifetime. Tents were amazing, the guide Ing, was fantastic. So knowledgeable, and kind. The facilities were wonderful, nice to have a dip in the pool at the end of the day. Nice bar. Interesting documentaries to watch each night and the gorgeous Thai dancing from local school kids. The food was exceptional, especially the jungle lunch! The trek was just the right amount of challenge but very doable for adults and kids alike. I wore trek sandals and was fine. The day at the lake was one of the best days of my life and I will always remember swimming in the fresh water, breathtaking and so calm! Thank you elephant hills x

An incredible experience that we highly recommend! We spent 3 days and 2 nights at this camp with our teenagers, ages 13, 13, and 15. It was a fabulous experience during which we were able to interact with captive elephants and also see one in the wild during a boat trip on the lake. We also saw monkeys, snakes, and a scorpion. The food is varied and delicious (there are even chicken nuggets and fries, pizza, and pasta for the pickiest eaters!). The team is very well-organized and professional (we've rarely seen such perfect organization). Everything flows seamlessly, and the activities are a good length. The tents are clean, large, and comfortable, but they are still tents in the jungle (no air conditioning and the possibility of encountering wildlife). A big thank you to our Chief guide, who was fantastic! We highly recommend this camp; the package is a bit pricey, but it's worth every penny! A little tip: the evenings are a bit long, so bring some card games or something similar.

We did two nights, one at the base camp and one at the lake camp. Our room at the base camp was quite humid at the time we were there. The night at the lake camp was unforgettable. Beautiful view, nice room. Amazing food at both camps. Nice guide. We only thought it was unfortunate that there wasn’t an alternative for the hard jungle trek for those who can’t participate. Recommended!

If I could give Elephant Hills more than 5 stars, I would! We stayed for 3 nights, and from the moment we were collected at the airport to being dropped off at our next destination, everything was completely seamless. Every member of staff was warm, friendly and genuinely passionate about making our stay unforgettable. The activities were absolutely spot on – the perfect balance of adventure, education and time to relax. Every experience was well organised, fun and informative, and we learnt so much about the elephants and the surrounding rainforest. A huge thank you to our guides, Ing and Owne, who were fantastic. They were knowledgeable, engaging, had a great sense of humour, and clearly loved what they do. They made an already incredible experience even better. The food was exceptional throughout our stay, with plenty of choice and some brilliant cooking demonstrations that were a real highlight. The accommodation was also perfect. It was comfortable, peaceful and, honestly, I haven’t slept that well in ages! We travelled with our two teenage boys, and they absolutely loved every minute. There was more than enough to keep them active and entertained each day, while still giving us time to relax and take in the beautiful surroundings. A special mention to all of our drivers too. As someone who’s not the best passenger, I really appreciated how safe and smooth every journey was. Elephant Hills is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience and was faultless from start to finish. We can’t recommend it highly enough. If you’re visiting Thailand, this is an absolute must-do.

Incredible experience! Incredible experience. All the guides were so helpful and friendly. We loved the elephant experience and were so happy that it was ethical. We enjoyed preparing the food for the elephants - it was a lot of fun. Food was wonderful. Thank you for sharing the Thai culture - we enjoyed watching the local children dancing. The boat trip on the river was also fantastic - we saw various animals and loved kayaking through the mangroves after lunch on the pontoon. Our visit to the Lake Camp was even more special - stunning scenery and waking to that view in the morning with the gibbon calls in the background was so memorable. Highly recommend this trip!

Amazing family experience Loved our time at Elephant Hills (family of 5 with kids 9,11,13) on a 3 night/4 day jungle camp stay. Our guide Tam was a font of knowledge and kept us educated on elephants, other local wildlife, as well as Thai customs, fruit and food and all things Elephant Hills… she was amazing. We loved the chance to take time out and enjoy kayaking and swimming as well as the trek and elephant visits… unbelievable memories to share as a family. Elephant hills looked after us from start to finish with collection from internal Flight and dropping us off onto our next adventure in Koh Samui…. A once in a lifetime experience! Went as a family of four. Booked through Trailfinders, who organised the whole trip to Thailand. Took care of everything, amazing agents. The tents gave the jungle experience. Had WiFi, electricity and hot running water. No AC though. Food was amazing. They accommodated for all diets. We were Halal and they had halal chicken for us too! Everyone's dietary requirements were met. The whole elephant hills, is beyond words. The area looks surreal. It really is magical. The dining area looks like a picture postcard. Soooo beautiful ❤️ so different to the usual hotel experience. The activities planned for each day are so well thought out. They are planned with consideration. For example, the first day when we arrived, it did not require much effort or energy, as most of us were tired due to flight and travelling. All activities were interactive, engaging and fun. It was a shame there was not much elephant experience. It was a very small part of the 3 days package. The staff in elephant hills are super friendly, respectful and polite. They are always there to help and go above and beyond to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Definitely worth the experience and money spent.

We're just back from an amazing 2 nights at Elephant Hills and couldn't recommend it enough. The main building and all facilities were lovely and clean as was the accommodation. Our guide was Ing who was so knowledgeable and helpful and always happy to answer any questionswe had. She was also very humorous which was great and made the trips really enjoyable. The activities were really well organised and Ing made sure we all knew the timings etc. Honestly can't speak highly enough of Ing and Elephant Hills as a whole. One of the highlights was seeing a wild Elephant at the Riverside. And the food we had there has been the best we've experienced so far during our Thailand trip. If your going to Thailand its a must do trip!

Don't miss out on this - the most amazing experience! I don't really know where to start with Elephant Hills. What a truely beautiful place and the highlight of our holiday. Family of 4, 2 adults and 2 older teens. We did the 3 day, 2 night stay, one night on the main camp and one on the lake camp. Day one, we arrived after flying into Phuket. It is a few hours drive but in an air conditioned minibus. Arrived to a truely beautiful area. Check in was seemless and very professional and our bags were transferred to our tents. We had lunch and then straight into activities (so make sure you have a few items to hand such as sun cream and bug spray as your bags will be in your rooms before you. They can provide you with water bottles). For us it was a visit to see the Elephants and to prepare them food. The guides are so knowledgable and to see the Elephants in their environment was just wonderful. Then onto kayaking down the Koh Sok river, managed to see some snakes and monkeys. Back to the camp to relax, there is a small swimming pool to cool off in. The rooms were lovely and clean. No air conditioning but plenty of fans. Couldn't ask for anything more. Lots of lovely choice for dinner, cooking shows in the evening, dancers. Day 2 - we had breakfast and then transferred to the Lake Camp by long tail boat. The Lake camp was breathtaking. The floating tents were so beautiful, would be happy to live one one of them for ever! Food was amazing - Beam our guide was just the nicest person and so knowledgable about all the wildlife. We did the trek to the cave and it is not for the faint hearted - it is very steep and uneven and hot but so glad we did it (and take your bug spray). The whole trip was just perfectly organised. Just a stunning stunning place and trip and waking up to the most amazing sounds from birds and animals. Cried when I left, we should have booked for longer!

Absolute must! Elephant hills is an amazing place and probably the highlight of our trip. Travelling with three children (10, 13, 15) we stayed for two nights and from start to finish it was excellent. The team are incredibly organised and made every adventure special. T was our guide and he was brilliant with the kids, incredibly knowledgeable about everything we did and lots of fun. The camp is also very nice and both nights we slept brilliantly with the sounds of the jungle filling the night. It’s also very special waking up and hear the gibbons. The food is camp is really nice and there’s something for everyone.

Incredible place, do not miss it! What a place. An epic adventure for our two families with teenagers. One night jungle and one night lake. Didn't want to leave, the activities, the food, the accommodation all top notch. Everything had been thought of and about. Literally couldn't fault a thing. Our guide Tam was lovely and looked after us all throughout. All the animals were spotted. Highlight waking early to the sounds of Gibbons at the lake...

Amazing jungle adventure experience!! Wow what an amazing few days and experience at Elephant Hills! We arrived after a few days in Bangkok on the 3 night jungle camp package - firstly we could not rate the staff and venue any higher - the standards for food quality and service are impeccable given the location. Everything is catered for - oat milk, gluten free etc - a very well organised team look after you the whole way. The luxury tents weren’t very well appointed with fans (large and powerful - you need it!!), soaps, shower get and shampoo etc - again everything had been thought of. All the activities were well planned and explained before each day - and there was the option to opt out if something didn’t take your fancy - however not sure why you would want to as all the experiences where very memorable - even if a bit daunting! A massive shout out to Tor who was one of the lead guides and our group lead for the trip - so hospitable, friendly and caring to ensure everyone had a memorable and fun experience. As others have said in other reviews, it would have been nice to have another session with the elephants but we had a good few hours with them which was incredible! This was one of the best adventure experiences we’ve had as a family so far … and we would highly recommend you add this to your bucket list!

Fabulous experience We stayed at elephant hills camp and at the lake camp for one night each. We wish we had stayed longer! It was amazing. The whole experience ran so smoothly and the staff were amazing. Yaya our guide couldn’t have done more and was always on hand to help, answer questions and provide interesting information. She was so patient with our questions and so enthusiastic to share her knowledge of the elephants and rainforest. She positively lit up when we spotted animals in the trees. The tents were very comfortable and had all the facilities you would need. Although hot the fans ment you could sleep. All of the facilities were immaculate.

Don’t miss out! What an absolutely amazing experience the main camp was beautifully appointed and the tented accommodation was extremely clean. There was a variety of foods which catered to most if not all needs and there was never a shortage. The activities were well organised and the fact that each group had their own guide for the duration was excellent. We were lucky to have Lucky as our guide his knowledge of the wildlife and surroundings was second to none and his command of the English language seemed effortless, so much better than my Thai. What an amazing person he was. The icing on the cake was the overnight stay at the lake camp don’t miss out on this part of the trip. The surroundings again were stunningly beautiful and again the staff, chefs and assistants were attentive to everyone’s needs. Elephant Hills is a wonderful place to visit, it would be an honour to visit again in the future. Well done to all the staff that provide such a wonderful experience.

We had an amazing 3 day 2 nights with elephant hills. The luxury tents were amazing, and the food was really good. We loved the elephant experience and Kong our tour guide was so brilliant (very funny and an excellent photographer)! The night on the lake was very cool, we got to swim, kayak and hike in such an amazing scenery!! One of our favourite experiences of our trip!! I have dietary requirements and they were very accommodating with labelled plates of food that I could have!! Would recommend to anyone!!!

Our experience at Elephant Hills was truly unforgettable. Staying in the middle of nature, surrounded by the rainforest, felt like something out of a movie. The atmosphere was peaceful, unique, and incredibly well organized from beginning to end. One of the most special parts of the experience was seeing and spending time with the elephants in such a respectful and ethical environment. It was obvious how much care and attention is given to the animals, which made the experience even more meaningful for us. The staff were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and professional throughout our stay. Everything was very well planned, the food was great, and every activity felt exciting while still allowing us to relax and fully enjoy the beauty of nature. The entire experience felt adventurous, luxurious, and authentic at the same time. We left with amazing memories that we will never forget. We would absolutely recommend Elephant Hills to anyone visiting Thailand and looking for a unique jungle experience.

A fantastic facility, truly unique in its own way. The luxury tents are clean and equipped with a shower and toilet. The tours offered are all superbly organized. You learn a great deal about the national park and the lives of the elephants, who are incredibly well cared for here. The animals are free to live their lives as they choose. Riding, touching, or feeding them is not permitted. The food at the camp is plentiful and delicious.

We had a great 1 night/2 day stay here. The highlight was the 1.5 hour elephant experience. Wish we could have had longer with the elephants. The camp is a 10 min drive from the elephant sanctuary. Impressed with the care the elephants receive. The canoe ride and jungle trek were also good fun. Buffet food was good quality and guides were fabulous.

we visited Elephant Hills (March 2026). Family of 5 (2 adults & 3 children). They happily accommodated us in 2 tents side by side both at land camp and lake camp. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and spacious. We had a dietary need in our group (GF) and was catered for and at each meal advised what was suitable and also did extra GF desserts. Our guide Kong was amazing. Very friendly, approachable and knowledgeable and you can tell she loves what she does. She got to know everybody's name to add that personal touch. Highly recommend Elephant hills ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We just had the most amazing 3 days at Elephant Hills and I just want to say thank you so much. We had the best time. One night sleeping on the lake where we spent our time kayaking, paddle boarding and seeing all the wildlife. We saw a family of monkeys whilst kayaking and an elephant when we were in the boat over, absolutely amazing. The food is next level and they cater to everyone. Myself and my husband had 3 absolutely amazing days here. The staff, the food, the accommodation, the facilities, the surroundings were all outstanding and I still can’t believe we actually stayed here. From the start our tour guide Kong was funny, kind and very informative. We visited the elephants and fed them, watched them play in the water. Went for a kayak down the river Sok, ate loads of amazing fresh food, slept in the most comfortable beds, met great people along the way, walked through the jungle to a bat cave, seen monkeys, swam in the lake and seen a wild elephant taking a bath in the lake on our way out. I could not recommend this place enough.

This was by first time in Thailand and part of the reason of going there was to go to Elephant Hills. My youngest daughter went there for part of here honeymoon in 2020 and said I would thoroughly enjoy it. She was not wrong. With every tour excursion is it all down to the leader and in my group Saow was that perfect person, she ticked all the boxes and more besides. Her english was brilliant along with her fantastic sense of humour, personality and she cared for every one in her group. Her organisation skills was second to none. The trip to see the elephants was one of the highlights of the trip and we spend a lot of the time there and Saow made it a point to feed us with lots of information. There was even some Thai school children who entertained us in the evening with there brilliant dancing. The following day we took a long tailed boat to our riverside accommodation in the rain forest which we were not disappointed with. There was activities from swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding and hiking to caves see the creep crawlies (due to my asthma I didn’t do that which I was disappointed at). The catering staff who served us breakfast dinner and tea did an excellent job. But in all this for the group I was in Saow was there to ensure everybody was looked after to here impeccable standard as a brilliant leader she was and is. Thank you Saow and elephant hills doesn’t seem enough - but thank you any was from the bottom of my heart. Steve 11th - 13th November 2025

We just stayed at Elephant Hills at the elephant camp for 4 days (3 nights) jungle trip. We were 4 people; a couple in our 30’s and mom and grandma at the age of 58 and 82 years old. My grandma could do the entire thing except for the trekking at which she stayed home and enjoyed the pool and lunch at the camp. We all loved our stay and our amazing guide Tam (she is the best so cross your fingers to get her!!!) Good food which varies each day, comfortable tents although extremely hard beds (but we found all beds in Thailand hard as rocks), amazing nature and transportation

Everything was spot on - beautiful location, time every day with the elephants (great fun feeding them while all of the time respecting their space), super tented accommodation (well equipped and very clean - good sized comfortable beds, air conditioning and more), good food, a balance of activities and relaxing down time and most of all a great team on hand looking after us throughout - our guide for our stay, Love, was the star - really knowledgeable, great English, and super enthusiastic, going beyond the call of duty, while finding it highly amusing, saving us from a (baby) snake which came to say hello one evening!
