Elephant Hills Earns 5-Star Rating and Perfect Score in 17 Sustainable Tourism Criteria for Second Year
Elephant Hills is proud to announce that we have once again been awarded the highest 5-star rating and a perfect score in all 17 criteria of the Sustainable Tourism Acceleration Rating (STAR) by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT). This marks the second consecutive year that Elephant Hills has achieved this remarkable recognition, reflecting our continued commitment to sustainability and responsible tourism.
The STAR project is based on the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and has been carefully adapted by the Tourism Authority of Thailand to align with the country’s tourism context. The project’s purpose is to encourage tourism operators to integrate sustainability into every part of their operations — from environmental care and wildlife conservation to supporting local communities and cultural preservation.

Each of the 17 criteria reflects a different sustainability goal, and meeting every single one with a perfect score is not only a significant achievement but also a clear demonstration of our daily efforts to make a positive impact. At Elephant Hills, we believe that tourism can and should play a role in protecting the environment, empowering communities, and fostering education and understanding for future generations.
Our team works hard to uphold these values through conservation projects, educational initiatives, reducing environmental footprints, supporting local schools through our Children’s Project, and offering responsible elephant experiences. This 5-star recognition encourages us to keep improving and remain a leader in sustainable tourism in Thailand.
