From Camp to Classroom: Elephant Hills Delivers Smiles to Baan Ya Plong School

We’re excited to share another heartwarming update from our partnership with Baan Ya Plong School. Recently, the school’s students delighted us with a beautiful performance of traditional Thai dancing at our camp in the evening. In response to their kindness, we wanted to give back to their community.

By the students’ exam day before the end of the semester, we delivered carefully packed bags filled with essential items both we’ve brought and “Pack With A Purposes” items from our guests. The smiles on the students’ faces were priceless, showing their appreciation for our gesture of support.
Additionally, recognizing the need for age-appropriate play equipment, especially for the younger children, the school’s director requested assistance with their playground. Many of the toys were better suited for older kids, leaving the little ones without suitable playthings. In response, we provided a slider and a climber to improve the children’s playtime and support their development. It’s moments like these that remind us of the importance of our partnership with Baan Ya Plong School and the positive impact we can make together.

Consider supporting our Children’s Project by allocating a bit of space in your luggage for items that can greatly impact the lives of these children. Here are some suggestions:
● Pens, pencils, erasers, rulers, notebooks, and other stationery
● Warm clothes for children living in the mountainous areas of Northern Thailand
● Watercolors and crayons
● Chalk, both for blackboard and sidewalk
● Calculators
● Educative toys and games
● Kids’ toys, playdough
● Toothbrushes and toothpaste
● Piggy banks
● Books (very basic English books: colours, animals, weekdays & months, simple phrases)
Even the smallest contribution can bring immense joy and support to these children. Your
generosity can make a significant impact on their lives and education.
