Joyful Exchange: Baan Mae Koh School Welcomes Elephant Hills and Supplies

We are delighted to share a heartwarming story from our recent adventure to Baan Mae Koh School, located in the remote mountains of Mae Sariang.
During our previous visit to Baan Sob Harn School, we were honored to meet Mr. Tawee, the dedicated director of both schools. He invited us to visit Baan Mae Koh, a small but beloved school located in the heart of the mountains, where nearly 30 students and 5 devoted teachers eagerly awaited our arrival.

The students’ excitement was obvious as we gave them much-needed stationery supplies. Seeing their happy faces made us realize how much our help means to them. Touched by their enthusiasm, we also shared a bag of rice from Baan Sob Harn School, knowing it would temporarily help them. Traveling along the bumpy off-road path for an hour from the Mae Sariang Community area, we gained a deeper understanding of Mr. Tawee’s dedication as he makes this journey twice a week to ensure the students receive their rightful education.

Learning that donations from organizations like ours are rare, reaching the school only once or twice a year, touched our hearts deeply. The massive gratitude expressed by both teachers and students upon receiving the new school supplies was truly touching and reminded us of the importance of our mission.

Before weaving goodbye, we were touched to receive handmade brooms crafted by the students.  It was a heartwarming reminder of the kindness within this little community.
